When we started Drivers-Ed back in 2011, our core team agreed on one fundamental rule: we wanted to remain a privately owned, completely independent company. By staying free from ties to any specific vehicle manufacturer, we gave ourselves the freedom to build specialized training programs focused purely on what works in the real world.

While our early days were spent working with individual motorists, our accredited Advanced Driving Department has since evolved to focus entirely on corporate and business clients. We believe in being flexible, which is why companies can choose to train their staff using our specialized Drivers-Ed fleet or use their own commercial vehicles. This gives drivers a rare opportunity to see exactly how their everyday work vehicles respond under pressure—an option standard driving academies rarely offer.

As South Africa's transport landscape shifted, we recognized a critical need for streamlined driver vetting and compliance. This led to the launch of our dedicated E-Hailing Department. Today, Drivers-Ed is proud to serve as an official, accredited onboarding and verification hub for the country’s leading mobility platforms, including Uber South Africa, Bolt South Africa, CarScan, and HURU.

Through these close partnerships, we manage the entire compliance and activation pipeline under one roof, providing:

• Official E-Hailing Onboarding: Smooth, end-to-end registration and activation support to get drivers onto the platforms.

• Professional Driving Evaluations: Thorough practical assessments to ensure high on-road safety standards.

• Background Vetting: Secure, official criminal record and background checks processed directly through HURU.

• Vehicle Scan Assistance: Hands-on technical support to guide drivers through their mandatory CarScan vehicle evaluations.
